COMPOST/FERTILIZER USED
Compost, which is made by Nature is seen on the surface of soil in the forest. Compost is a “house” for micro-organisms (fungi and bacteria) and small animals which live and get energy by decomposing their food, that is, dead grass, dead trees and animal bodies. It is a humus-like substance. Anything that has once lived can be composted, such as plant waste and animal waste.
Kuntan (carbonized rice husk/rice husk charcoal) is made from rice husks smoked from a fire underneath in a tin. It is used as a source of soil minerals like phosphate, potash and calcium.
IMO (Indigenous Micro-Organism) are natural activating microbes that help to enhance the soil structure. It acts as a quickener during the decomposition process of compost as well as enhancing the nutritional value of the natural fertilizer. The IMO know-how was developed and introduced by Mr. Cho Han Kyu of Korea, the founder of Natural Farming.
Green Liquid Fertilizer is made from many raw materials such as green plants (vegetable/weed, young banana trunk), soybean/coconut waste, dried animal dung, fresh fishes, rice bran and IMO3. The materials is soaked with water in a big drum for at least 3 days. The liquid is used to spray on crops regularly after recommended dilution.
