Major activities
- Updated website. Added in more photos and 3 more pages.
- I moved to stay in 2-room house. The 4-room house left vacant for visitors.
Lo-light
-One worker did not turn up after taking a month leave for collecting durians. Left 4 workers. To hire one for replacement.
-Did not have enough leafy vegetables for customers because of crop rotation practice.
-Long bean, French bean and green chili were over produced.
-Not much demand on binjal (eggplant/terung). Few customers said binjal is no good for eye-sight. True? Few said they do not know how to cook it. Thought we need to eat as many varieties of vegetables as possible.
Hi-light
-Made over-produced green chili into vinegar chili and pack into bottles for sales.
-No more used of chicken dung since Dec 2007, the first and the last batch. Two customers say they prefer no use of the chicken dung because of heavy metal contain from the feed such as mercury even after fully fermented. True? Now use only goat and cow dung. The leafy vegetables look as good. Some farmers say they cannot live without the chicken dung! Chicken dung gives higher N than the other two.
-The “abue” fruit tree started to bear fruits. It was planted before land clearing, end of 2006. They taste good. It is called “yellow golden fruit” in Chinese, literally direct translated.
Problems
-Wild boars came often and dug up many tapioca trees. To live with it, at least they do not disturb other crops.
-Rats broke into store even with the supposed to be full-proof netting roof. Repaired.
